Genevieve Fox

Genevieve Fox is a journalist from Detroit who came to Michigan State University in 2019. She expects to graduate with a bachelor’s in journalism and a concentration in environment, science and health reporting in 2023. Her reporting also appeared on HerCampus, an online college women’s magazine.

Father-and-son-run food truck Atomic Tacos is getting a business boost from its location at Horrocks Farm Market. The truck, owned by Jeffery and Joel McGuire, opened in October 2020 and has been parked at Horrocks since August 2021.

Delta Township officials raise concerns about allowing off-road vehicles on county roads

The Eaton County Board of Commissioners Public Safety Committee is exploring a county ordinance that could allow off-road vehicles to operate on county roads. County Commissioner Tim Barnes, R-Mulliken, who chairs public safety committee, reached out to Delta Township and other local governments for feedback.

Despite a high rise in Michigan’s marijuana business, Delta Township does not have a dispensary – and township officials don’t expect that to change any time soon. According to Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency, more than 700 dispensaries opened in the state of Michigan since 2021.

    Megan SampTickets can be bought online or at Studio C in Okemos. Each November, the East Lansing Film Festival showcases independent films. These films range from comedies to dramas to long and short films. The nonprofit was created in 1997 and remains the longest running film festival in Michigan.
