Check out Mason library’s free One Seed, One State program

Mason’s Capital Area District Library has announced its third annual One Seed One State initiative which provides free seeds for the month while supplies last to encourage growing and saving seeds. 

In collaboration  with the MI Seed Library Network, multiple CADL branches have become Seed Libraries providing seeds brought in by local gardeners to teach the community about growing for a nutritious benefit.

Dog Play N Stay Resort shuts down after customers complain of staff issues affecting their animals

Dog Play N Stay Resort shut down permanently on Jan. 20, after a little over a year of business. The animal daycare facility, located in Mason, Michigan opened its doors in 2021 and included services such as daycare, grooming, and overnight boarding. Throughout their time of operation, the reviews of the business from local Mason residents have been mixed. Before the closure, a GoFundMe page was organized by former senior manager Elizabeth Embry in hopes that the business would continue.
