MSU’s men basketball team went on the road to Des Moines, Iowa for the first round of March Madness against Bradley University on Thursday. But not every Spartan drove across the country to watch them play. While some fans prefer to fly or drive to away games, some prefer their favorite chair at the bar. Spartan fan Tim Courser said he sits in the same spot and orders the same food at the bar of Buffalo Wild Wings every week. This week he arrived a little bit earlier than usual to beat the crowd and catch the game.

“Every woman here is an inspiration,” said Caitlyn Perry Dial, the museum director at the Michigan Women’s Historical Center & Hall of Fame. Michigan Women’s Historical Center & Hall of Fame is a hidden gem here in the Lansing area. The museum showcases the many historical accomplishments of Michigan women, both deceased and alive. In the museum each woman being acknowledged has her own plaque on the wall with a few paragraphs briefly explaining her remarkable story. On June 10, 1987, the Michigan Women’s Historical Center & Hall of Fame was dedicated to the public.

ST. JOHNS — A new Athletic Hall of Fame for the town of St. Johns is expected to create creative revenue opportunities for the high school’s Athletic Department. The Board of Education for St. Johns has announced the approval to create an inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame starting in 2016.
