As of late, the banks of the red cedar have found a new purpose.

Dive teams from all around Michigan are searching the river for the missing Grand Valley State student.

Brendan Santo was last seen leaving Yakeley Hall on October 29, shortly before midnight. After that, no one knows where he went.

MSU inspector Chris Rozman said the search will continue as developing information continues to lead them to the Red Cedar River. Right now, it’s the strongest lead they have to finding him.

Santo’s disappearance has left students feeling uneasy on campus. In response, President Stanley released a statement that said the university would install 300 new cameras and more lighting across campus.

The police ask that if you have any information that could lead to finding Santo, call the MSU tip line at 844-99-MSUPD.
