With all precincts reporting, votes for the East Lansing school board showed an endorsement of incumbents Terah Chambers and Kate Powers, who were re-elected with the top two totals. They are being joined by Chris Martin and Noel Garcia.

Seven candidates ran for the four open seats.

For the League of Women Voters guide, Chambers wrote: “…so much of our success is linked to our teachers and staff. We just ensure they receive necessary compensation and training. We also need to hire more teachers from minoritized backgrounds.”

Powers wrote, “I think it’s important that our community continues to have a voice that is representative of the entire population.”
