The 16th annual Lansing Area Bluesfest brought over 15,000 spectators to town for some great music, great fun and great food.

“It’s a great place to come and it has great bluegrass music here,” said Lansing resident David Epps. “I enjoy listening to it, they got good entertainment.”

Bluesfest is a two-day, free musical festival that featured over twenty blues artists on four different stages.

The Mandeville Trio is a band from Chicago that enjoys traveling to Midwest Blues Festivals and had a great time performing in Lansing.

“The people have been really nice,” Donna Herula. “We just got off stage and people were very complimentary and liked my guitar playing so how can you not like that?”

Old Town Lansing’s Bluesfest brings national, regional and local acts to an audience of people from across the midwest every September.
