A special screening of The Way We Get By was held Tuesday night at the MSU Communication Arts Building.
The documentary follows three troop greeters who welcome soldiers as they return from Iraq. After the film was over, viewers had the opportunity to talk to the producer who was on-site and the director via Skype.
The producer, Gita Pullapilly, hopes that the documentary will inspire change in communities. “We realize the value of volunteerism and we know the importance and how it can change somebody’s life, so the number one thing we’re hoping to do is just engage communities so they can make a difference.”
