A new way to get around campus, Skoop

Print More

Students can get around campus on foot, bike, skateboard, CATA and most recently, the Bird and Lime scooters.

But now, there is another alternative. It’s called Skoop… a free service created so students don’t have to pay for transportation or walk far distances.

To ride in a Skoop, all you have to do is simply wave them down like a taxi cab, and get in.

Every Skoop has a complimentary phone charger, water and speaker to play your music. Students can hop on a Skoop and ride just about anywhere, from as far as the Breslin to downtown East Lansing near Albert Avenue.

Skoop supports local businesses, by advertising them on the back of the pedi-cabs.

Skoop operates: for classes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., during dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and for night life from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information about Skoop or to become a driver, visit their website.
