On May 15, Clinton County will walk, run and have fun as they celebrate those who have fought cancer, remember those lost their lives it, and take action against the deadly disease. The Relay For Life of Clinton County will be held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in St. Johns. Since 1985, Relay For Life has raised over $3 billion for cancer studies, and more than 5,000 communities host the event every year, according to the American Cancer Society. This will mark the 20th year that Clinton County has hosted the event.
Holt’s Relay for Life is looking for people to participate in this annual cancer fundraiser June 21-22 at Holt High School. Relay for Life celebrates survivors, remembers those who have lost their battle and raises funds to stop a disease that continues to take far too many lives. The relay is a team event that lasts 24 hours. Because cancer never sleeps, it is required for at least one team member to be walking on the track at all times. Deaths due to Cancer | Infographics
