Traffic was halted on Pennsylvania Avenue. in Lansing by cars filled with people lined up to enter Potter Park Zoo this past Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Visitors came from all over Michigan for the zoo’s annual “Boo at the Zoo.”

The family-oriented event drew 7250 people over the two days, well over the expected number of about 5000, and incorporated many activities including arts and crafts, a haunted “boo” tunnel, hayrides, a straw maze, live animal presentation, a magic show, and trick or treating. Jennifer Horvatin, the Volunteer and Event Coordinator at Potter Park Zoo, coordinated the event along with other upcoming events at the zoo. All together it took about two months to organize.
