The new BJ’s Wholesale Club location in Delta Township is the chain’s fourth in Michigan.

Delta Township just welcomed BJ’s Wholesale Club to the community as part of the new $200 million land project at I-96 Highway and West Saginaw Highway. Phase one of the Delta Crossing project opened in September 2021 and includes Texas Roadhouse, Sierra, Hobby Lobby, T.J. Maxx, and Bob’s Discount Furniture. BJ’s Wholesale Club was a part of phase two and recently had its grand opening on Jan. 28.

This is the fourth location in Michigan and the 226th location in the United States. The club sells members an array of products including technology, groceries and clothing. The club also includes a gas station that gives discounted prices for members.

According to a press release, club manager Nick Salowich said, “We’re excited to expand our footprint in Michigan, with opening our club in Lansing.”

Salowich also said, “We’re looking forward to bringing BJ’s outstanding offerings to Lansing and the surrounding community.”

Beverly Pillar of Lansing said she is excited to shop at BJ’s. She explained that she is excited about the variety of products the club has to offer.

However, there have been some traffic issues since the club opened.

Grand Ledge resident Cristy Dowker said “The added traffic at that light is already an issue because those lights are timed out as if there is not any traffic coming in and out from the BJ’s entrance.” Dowker said traffic in that area gets “Very hectic.”
