After being canceled for two years, nobody knew what to expect for the MSU homecoming parade this year. But the spartan spirit was alive and the East Lansing community was back together.

In 2019, the parade was canceled due to weather, and last year it was canceled due to the pandemic. This year, over 90 floats made their way through downtown East Lansing and MSU’s campus.

For some students, including senior Carolann Brigham, this is her first homecoming parade.

“It’s my senior year and because of covid I haven’t been able to attend a homecoming parade, so I’m excited to be here,” Brigham said.

Director of alumni travel and events, Regina Cross, said she was pleased to have such a big turnout at the parade and said it was an electric night.
