You may not even know that the MSU Union had a bowling alley, yet it’s been there for 70 years.

Maybe you had a bowling class, or you were just spending a Wednesday night enjoying cosmic bowling with your friends.

It was announced that Spartan Lanes will be closing at the end of the school year. It’s located in the basement of the Union, and can only be accessed by stairs, which is part of the reason why it’s closing.

“Just due to the nature of the conditions of the space.. some of the accessibility concerns we have, also it’s a little bit dated,” said MSU Union director Michelle Pell.

There is no decision in place yet as to what Spartan Lanes will eventually become. They are looking for student feedback as to what students would like to see replace Spartan Lanes.
