Bestseller Books & Coffee Co. is a community favorite in downtown Mason. Whether it be for a meeting, event, book, or a coffee stop Bestsellers Books & Coffee Co. has something for everyone. Jamie Robinson, the owner, reveals at the end of this month there will be an anniversary week celebrating the store’s 20 years on the downtown square.

According to Robinson, the store offers many books from children’s to adult. Bestseller’s also have coffee beverages: hot, cold, iced, and frozen.

“It’s rewarding to be able to find a book for someone,” said Robinson. “It’s really fun to find books to meet people’s needs.”

“On Saturday we’re doing a pop-up bourbon bar. It’ll be on our second story above Bestsellers. We have two rooms that we use for catering,” said Robinson. “It’s kind of a rustic urban bar upstairs. Then we’re gonna do adult coloring night that next week and have an anniversary ribbon cutting on Dec. 1 for the Chamber of Commerce. We have one big week-long party.”

Natasha King, a barista at Bestsellers, said “It’s really cool upstairs. There’s a lot of history and speak-easy feel to it. It’s like finding a hidden gem.

King said she enjoys working there because of the small-town feel. “Most customers are regulars,” said King. “It’s cool to get to know people in the community.”

The pop-up bourbon bar will be Saturday, Nov. 25 from 7-10 p.m. at the store’s new 2nd story room. Tickets are $20 and include a welcome drink and a small plates buffet. Tickets are on sale now on their website.

Robinson said that adult coloring night will be on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 6-7 p.m. There will be complimentary snacks, along with wine and beer specials. Also available will be free Mason 150 posters, and 20% off adult coloring books and supplies.
