Maple Street Mall celebrated its ninth annual Chocolate Extravaganza during one of the warmest weekends of 2017 so far.
“We always do it the weekend after Valentine’s Day,” said Barbara Streed, a longtime employee of the store.
The store has different events throughout the year where vendors bring in the treats, but this is the one event where the free chocolates are provided to the customers courtesy of the employees.
“Everyone’s in a good mood when they come in, the event couldn’t have gone any better,” Streed said as she rearranged the candies and grabbed one for herself.
