Voters can get a variety of freebies and discounts on Election Day.

If participating in a life-changing event like the presidential elections isn’t enough motivation for you, there are plenty of other benefits to showing up at the polls Tuesday.

A number of stores are offering free products and discounts if you show up with your “I voted” sticker. Other business and organizations are offering discounts in honor of Election Day, regardless of whether you’ve voted.

The Capital Area Transportation Authority is offering free rides to voters headed to the polls. A valid voter registration card should be presented upon boarding.

You can also get a free slice of cherry-blueberry Liberty Pie at Grand Traverse Pie Co. when you tell them “Liberty pie gets my vote” at the counter. The restaurant has Lansing area locations at 1403 E. Grand River Ave. in East Lansing, 200 S. Washington Square in downtown Lansing and 3536 Meridian Crossing Drive, near Jolly and Okemos roads, in Okemos.

Not interested in pie? Krispy Kreme will give you a free doughnut if you show them your sticker. The nearest locations are 2700 East Beltline Road in Grand Rapids, 15050 Southfield Road in Allen Park and 208 W. 14 Mile Road in Troy.

Need that extra boost of caffeine in the morning to propel you through your day? 7-Eleven is offering a free cup of coffee when you use its mobile app. The convenience store chain has Lansing area locations at 918 E. Grand River Ave. and 311 Grove St. in East Lansing and 3500 Okemos Road in Okemos.

For someone with a bigger appetite, Chuck E. Cheese’s, 5451 West Saginaw Highway in Delta Township, is giving customers a free personal pepperoni pizza with any pizza purchase as long as you let them know at the register that you voted, or you use coupon code “#5253.”

You can also get 30 percent off your order at Bob Evans with coupon after 2 p.m. The restaurant has area locations at 900 American Road in south Lansing and 625 Commercial Drive in Delta Township.

For anyone who needs a ride to get to the polls, first-time users of Uber can get $20 off their ride when using the “VOTETODAY” coupon code. Zipcar is also offering free rides from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to help get people to the polls.
