OKEMOS — Israel Moore, a college sophomore from Okemos, MI, is one of 16 global semi-finalists in the Voice of McDonald’s competition.

Moore, who has been singing her whole life, applied for the competition last summer. The contest is open to all McDonald’s employees to demonstrate their talents and show the opportunities that McDonald’s provides for employees.

This April, she and her family will travel to Orlando, FL, for the global competition. The first-prize winner will receive $25,000. All other global semi-finalists will receive cash.

When asked what she would do with her winnings, Moore said she would give back to her parents and church, The River in Southfield, MI, for all it’s support, as well as invest it, save it, and help pay for school.

“I’ve gained a lot from this experience, and I definitely want to give back to everybody that’s helped with it,” Moore said.

Moore’s semi-finalist song performance is available at Voice of McDonald’s website.
