High school athletics are a great reminder about the love the of the game, and the reason why sports are played in the first place. It’s about the athletes, fans and the student body, but also the surrounding community.

No matter what season, on just about any game day expect the stands to be filled with not only students and parents, but local supporters.
“Football, baseball, basketball, even lacrosse the community has always been supportive. It’s always a packed house, and it’s such a great feeling,” said Holt alumni Mitchell Tucker.
Holt athletics know they’re amongst the lucky ones to be surrounded by such a tight-knit community.
“I graduated in 2012, and it’s one thing that really stands out during my time in high school. Having people in the community cheer you on, when they could probably be doing something else; it’s amazing,” he said.
Recently, Holt Boys Basketball> faced up against Lansing Everett clinching their fifth straight win with a final score of 69-60..
“Holt is a great community, and a great town to be a part of. There is always a huge turnout and we love supporting the kids,” said Susan Spears.
