OLD TOWN LANSING- A new event surpasses expectations and succeeds in welcoming newcomers to its businesses. The event
The Old Town Chocolate Walk was held last Wednesday, February 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Valentine’s Day fundraiser, the Chocolate Walk included businesses found on Turner Street and Grand River Avenue that encouraged people to attend. The Old Town Commercial Association’s executive director Louise Gradwohl said flyers of the event were posted around Old Town in hope’s that it would interest people to attend. Those who purchased a ticket were given a box to fill with chocolates, a punch card and a map of the businesses involved. “18 different businesses were involved and with 175 spots, tickets were purchased for 10 dollars each,” said Gradwohl.
