A Younger Crowd for Oktoberfest

by staff writer Symone Tripodis

The 8th annual Oktoberfest held this past weekend in Old Town attracted a younger crowd, which is what the festival committee wanted. Oktoberfest Committee member Steve Bohnet of Bohnet Electric located in Old Town, Lansing said that this year,Oktoberfest held on Oct. 4 and 5 had a turnout of a much younger crowd. “This year the festival added two alternative rock bands to the entertainment, brining younger aged people in,” said Bohnet. “The large turnout for both days was also determined by the warm weather.”

The new bands that were added to the line-up were The All American Funk Parade on Friday night and Mike Mains and The Branches on Saturday night.
