Republican presidential candidate John Kasich brought his campaign to the Michigan State Union on Monday, President’s Day. His rally did not have much advance publicity, but hundreds filled the Union ballroom to hear him. He spoke and took questions for about an hour as he hopped across Michigan from Grand Valley State University to Michigan State to Macomb County for Monday night and Tuesday. While most other candidates are concentrating on more immediate contests in South Carolina and Nevada, Kasich has maintained a focus on Michigan, which has its primary March 8. He has visited Michigan more than any other candidate.
