Recreation director brings “new life” to Harper Woods parks

Since she was 15 years old, Shavonne Lau has always worked for the City of Harper Woods in some manner. Now, she is excited for her new role as recreation director for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. “I wanted to see if there was anything new I could bring to the job,” Lau said. Since starting this new position, Lau has conducted multiple different projects to improve the parks in the area.
