Michigan State Football took back the Paul Bunyan Trophy after a sizable win over the University of Michigan. MSU Men’s and Women’s basketball teams are off to a great start, winning every game at home so far. And, MSU students react to the new Detroit Tiger’s manager. MSU Bike Share

As bike clutter worsens around campus, ASMSU says they have a fix. “The idea is: create a bike sharing community,” said ASMSU VP for Finance and Operations, Mike Mozina. With nearly 50,000 students enrolled at MSU, bike racks are overflowing. ASMSU wants to implement a program where students could pay for shared bikes when they need to get around campus. Students could either rent bikes at $1 per hour or buy a year-long membership for $50.

Sustainability week on campus has many people finding new ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. The East Lansing and Lansing areas were abuzz with Halloween Activities. And, in preparation for the MSU vs. UM Football game, some students stuck through the night to protect the Sparty Statue on campus. One very popular local produce item is much cheaper to buy this year. A new proposal from MSU’s Student Government could create a community bike share on campus. And, students, staff and alumni of MSU partook in this year’s many homecoming festivities.

Debate continues as wolf hunt nears

LANSING – Michigan’s first sanctioned wolf hunt is slated to begin Nov. 15. It could also be the state’s last one. “It’s a good thing to get this thing off the ground and started,” said Sen. Tom Casperson, R-Escanaba, who sponsored the bill establishing the state’s first wolf hunting season. “We’re coming at it with a pretty light number, which is good, and we’ll take it from there.”
The Upper Peninsula hunt will continue until Dec.
