A study finds that while U.S. Muslims are about as likely as non-Muslims to earn more than $100,000 a year, more than a third of Muslim households have combined incomes of $30,000 a year or less.
The data comes in American Muslim Poll 2019 by the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding. Findings were described by The Arab American News.
The article said Muslims generally have a better outlook on their finances than others and find hope in their faith.
About 22% of low-income Muslims polled rated their finances positively, compared to 8% of low-income people in the general public.
Weekly mosque attendance contributed to that feeling, the survey found.
