be featured on the Food Network’s hit show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, for a second time. While the restaurant first appeared on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives back in 2017, the show decided to come back and check in with Meat BBQ to see how it is. Meat BBQ posted a photo on Facebook thanking the community of Lansing for the love and support.

With a degree in sports medicine from Central Michigan University, becoming a firefighter was not part of Carson’s original plan. After seeing an advertisement 29 years ago that the East Lansing fire department would hire a paramedic firefighter in one year, Carson quit her job, went back to school, applied, and her journey began. She started as a paramedic and then worked as a firefighter for 22 years before becoming chief.

On Friday, Oct. 29, Brendan Santo, a first-year student at Grand Valley State University, went missing on Michigan State University’s campus. In an email, MSU’s Vice President and Chief of Police Marlon Lynch, wrote that the investigation has used advanced techniques to review cellular, smartphone, and GPS data.
The first Fashion Fiber Festival, presented by local businesses Seams and Woven Art Yarn Shop, will be this Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on 325A Grove Street in East Lansing.
People of all ages come to downtown East Lansing to enjoy good eats, boutiques and even a new comfortable public space outside the Division Street parking garage. However, the new space, part of the Lansing Placemaker project, has been the target of theft and vandalism.
