Former President Barack Obama came to Renaissance High School in Detroit for the Democratic party’s “Get-out-the-vote” rally in front of thousands of supporters. One of those supporters was United Auto Workers union representative Linda Hayes.

Hayes has seen Obama more than five times, but made sure she was first in line this time. Showing up just after 5 a.m. in the morning’s cold and fog to grab her spot, Hayes said it was all worth it.

“Barack Obama was the main reason I came, but also I wanted to see him get the word out for Gretchen, Benson, and Nessel and support them,” Hayes said.
