Last spring, the 7-Eleven and Georgio’s Pizza on the corner of Grand River Ave. and Bogue St. were demolished. Construction for a brand new building is now officially underway.
“HUB On Campus East Lansing” is a new high rise apartment building that is expected to open by the fall of 2019.
The building will hold both businesses on the first floor, and over 300 studio apartment on the floors above.
“I mean, I think there’s a lot of excitement out there,” East Lansing Planning and Development Director Tim Dempsey said. “People have expressed their kind of interest and excitement regarding the height of the building, that East Lansing is going to look a lot different aesthetically, feel more like a bigger city.”
“HUB On Campus” will have 10 floors and will feature a pool and hot tub on the rooftop.
