Cher stumped for Democratic presidential candidate at Michigan State’s Student Union on Monday. Republican nominee Donald Trump was in the state himself, as the leading candidates wrestled for Michigan, which was still in play with eight days to go before the Nov. 8 election.
The Michigan margin between the two has tightened in recent days. Retired neurosurgeon and former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson was at Michigan State, Livonia and Grand Rapids on Sunday to support Trump.
Cher also is expected to visit Flint and Kalamazoo on Monday. She stumped for Clinton in San Francisco and Chicago in October and will be campaigning for Clinton at events in Detroit and Boston this week.
