New York primaries: Trump yuge, Clinton coasts

CNN reported that billionaire Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had big wins in today’s New York state primaries, scooping up delegates and momentum in the races for their parties’ presidential nominations.

The network made its reports around 10:30 p.m.with partial vote returns.

With about two-thirds of Republican votes counted, Trump had 59.7 percent compared to 25.3 percent for Ohio Gov. John Kasich. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz had 15 percent.

With 78 percent of the Democratic vote in, CNN reported that Clinton was leading Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders 57.9 percent to 42.1 percent.
