MI First Election

“I look forward that Bernie Sanders could be the president but if he does not, it is kind of frustrating,” said Sadie Crunk, a junior social work major at Michigan State University.

Sanders won the Wisconsin primary, with 56.6 percent supporting rate, according to CNN.

Sanders also won the Michigan primary with 49.8 percent of the vote, as reported by The New York Times.

“I do not think any of them will be better than Obama, but the next best candidate will be Bernie Sanders, for me, at this point,” said Arabelle Diake, a sophomore with an undecided major.

On the other side, Diake cares a lot about whether Donald Trump will win the election because she thinks that Trump is not a good presidential candidate.

Two days ago, Trump said John Kasich shouldn’t be allowed to run in the election.

“Trump said a lot of things that are offensive to many people, so it is not very surprising to hear things that coming from him.”

“When Trump gets into the office, he is going to revolt Obama’s laws and bills, and everything,” said Ogo Nwabuokei, a senior media information major.

Nwabuokei said that he does not think that Trump will make a good president at all.  If Trump become president, he is going to destroy the relationship between United States and other countries.

In the meanwhile, Sanders’ campaign said Clinton is not sincere about raising the minimum wage.

“Hillary Clinton is not consistent all the time so I think pointing out others’ faults is OK,” said Crunk.

“But bashing on other candidates is an inappropriate way. There is no point for doing that.”

Clinton has always changed her mind, but a president should be strong and determined no matter what.”

Those three supporters have been looking forward to seeing whether Sanders could win the Democratic party and eventually win the presidential election.

“If Bernie wins and he carries with the free education, it will be a great thing for students,” said Nwabuokei.

“He could continue to do what he says what he will do. Do not just forget those things after getting into the office.”
