“Bernie genuinely cares about the people. He wants us to progress as a nation and become more accepting of all types of people. I just want to give him a big hug,” said Katrina McEntee from Lexington, Michigan.
"Bernie is the only candidate that cares for the American people. He's the only candidate who doesn't take money from the big corporations. He's the only candidate who wants this country to thrive," said Alison Johnston from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
"Sanders is committed to two of the biggest issues that I think will impact the state of this country and the world. For one, he is huge in campaign finance reform. Getting a campaign finance system that is public is absolutely critical to democracy in general. Also, I think with his progressive tax plans, he's going to be able to achieve all the plans he has for education reform," said Kyle Goodall, pictured with his cousin, Sophia Predoehl.
"I am an absolute Bernie fan. He is the most genuine candidate. I absolutely admire his compassion towards everyone. In his many years of political experience, he hasn't changed his position on anything, and I find that admirable and impressive," said Johnny Shelton from East Lansing.
"I loved the rally. I loved his enthusiasm, and his political views. What I love about Bernie is that he's all about positivity, love, and family. He doesn't mud-sling like his fellow candidates," said Michael Sollid from Lansing, Michigan.
"I agree with all of Bernie's policies. He's a big proponent of women, and I love that the most about him. I cheered when he talked about extending maternity leave," said Audrey Westfall from East Lansing, Michigan.
"Bernie goes further than Hillary does on the issues. I think that he answers them more fully and with specific plans in mind. He understands the problems of normal people, and the policies he supports demonstrates that for me," said Sherry Dickerson of East Lansing, Michigan.
