Lyndsey Hurd is a waitress at Ellie’s Country Kitchen, a small restaurant in Williamston.

What is your favorite thing about Williamston?
I guess it’s just a good, quiet hometown. It’s nice and homey. There are a lot of good restaurants and cute shops around town.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to spend time with my family. I do a lot of stuff together with my kids. We try to spend as much time together as possible.

Do you live close to your family and do you see them a lot?
Yeah. We live pretty much in the same area, maybe a half hour, not too far. My immediate family lives with me in Williamston and the rest live in a short radius around us.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Wow, you know that’s funny. I’m really not sure. That’s a funny question. I’m really not sure. Pretty much where I’m at now, just working hard and taking care of my kids.

What is your biggest regret in life?
Oh, maybe to start a little bit later on family and marriage. I started young, so probably that.
