Looking for a way to help Mason public schools and get your pizza fix at the same time? Then head out to Mason for Mason Pizza Days.

The promotion takes place on the first Wednesday of every month during the school year. During this time, participating pizzerias donate one dollar to the Mason Public Schools Foundation for each pizza sold.

The six participating pizzerias include City Limits, Courthouse Pub, Darb’s Tavern, Little Caesars, Pizano’s and Westside Deli.

The promotion benefits not only Mason public schools but the restaurants that have teamed up with the foundation as well.

Wendy Lawrence, a manager at Westside Deli, said that since becoming a part of the promotion, pizza sales definitely increase on the first Wednesday of the month.

Chris Hubaker, a kitchen manager at the Courthouse Pub said that while they had become a part of the promotion only within the past year, they were already seeing results.

“We see about a 30 percent increase in pizza sales on that first Wednesday of the month,” said Hubaker.

Both establishments have made modest efforts to promote the event. At the Westside Deli fliers were available at the counter that detailed the event.

The Courthouse Pub meanwhile had a banner hung in its dining area with slogan “Support your schools… Eat pizza today.”
