EAST LANSING- The 17th annual Home and Garden show continues at the Michigan State University Pavilion through Sunday.

For 17 years, the Lansing region has gotten a jump-start on spring and summer landscaping and home improvements with the Home and Garden show.

Landscapers, construction companies and the MSU horticulture club are just a few of the 275 vendors who set up displays every year to show what services they can provide to those starting or continuing a landscaping or home improvement project.

Along with the areas filled with gardens, there is also a flower show, presented by the Michigan Garden Clubs, Inc. The theme of the flower part of the show this year is “What’s In Your Attic?” It includes floral arrangements to give people ideas about transforming their backyards or the inside of their houses.

A lot of planning goes into a show of this size.

“We start planning for next year already, we’re always a year ahead,” said Carolyn Alt, the show manager. “We spend all year planning.”

The times for each day vary; visit the show’s home page to get the times for each day. Admission is $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-14.Children ages 5 and under are free. The MSU Pavilion is at 4301 Farm Lane and Mount Hope in East Lansing. For additional information, visit the show’s Facebook page.
