4 contend for manager position on March 16

OKEMOS—On Saturday, the Meridian Township Board will conduct interviews for a successor for Meridian Township Manager Jerry Richards.

Four candidates were selected from 23 applicants. They are:

* Paul Brake, city manager of Grand Blanc, population 8,276
* James Creech, manager of Oakland Charter Township, population 16,779
* Darnell Earley, city manager of Saginaw, population 51,230
* Frank Walsh, city manager of St. Joseph, population 8,372

Meridian Township’s population is 39,688. The township’s website links to bios of the candidates.

Interviews will be 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday with a lunch break at 1:30 p.m.
