Registration Day Comes To MSU

EAST LANSING, MI. — On Nov. 6, U.S. voters will elect the next president, as well as candidates for local offices.

On Sept. 14, Michigan State University students went to the Auditorium on campus where students had the chance to register to vote.

There were many students registering to vote for the first time, many who were excited by the opportunity to have a say on who should run their country.

MSU medical student Brad Leuenhagen said that the opportunity to vote is an exciting responsibility.

“I’m pretty excited to be able to vote for who I want to run this country and who I want to call president of the United States,” Leuenhagen said.

Staff assisting at the advised people to double check that they are registered to vote and to check the location of your polling.

Some general information for first-time voters mentioned was that voting times are between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Nov. 6th.

Mobile voting is also possible for this election. provides an online ballot delivery for uniformed and overseas citizens, making it an easier, secured and private way of voting.

Important dates to remember are Oct. 9 as the last day for Michigan citizens to register to vote and of course, the 6th of November being election day.
