Over 2,000 Michigan State University students showed off their work at this year’s design day.

More than 150 different projects from all 8 departments in the college of engineering were put on display at the MSU Union.

Many students created projects for senior capstone courses and worked with corporate sponsors solve real issues in their business.

” Some goes right into production, some is used for prototype builds to be used in the future,” says design day director, Maureen Blazer-Adams.

Mechanical engineering student, Jared St. Aubin, worked with four other students to create a self-contained chair for Hartwood School, a school that serves students with mental and physical disabilities, so that they can be more physically engaged in daily activities.

“A lot of work went into this, more than you would think.”

Design day occurs at the end of every semester.
