The happily painted Preuss’ Pets is located at the intersection of N. Cedar and E. Grand River. The Preuss’ family has been in the pet industry for over 30 years.

Located at 1127 North Cedar Street is Preuss’ Pets, a 22,000 square foot locally owned pet store. Visitors can’t miss the building, with its outdoor waterfall and beautiful mural painted by local artist Tom Phillips.

Preuss’ has an unbelievable variety of pets including birds, reptiles, small animals, kittens, freshwater species and saltwater species among others. Preuss’ worker, Austin Kelly, said that there are over a million different species located in the store.

Nori Wisti, pet owner and frequent Preuss’ shopper, said that she loves the selection of items offered.

“I can always find what I’m looking for here,” Wisti said. “Preuss’ has the most amazing selection of pet items at a very, very reasonable price.”

Preuss’ Pets is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

 

Preuss’ Pets has several thousand gallons of saltwater in their showroom to showoff all of the beautiful species they have to offer. Preuss’ specializes in reef aquaria with sea anemones to elegant surgeonfish.

This handsome young parrot greets customers as they enter the store. Preuss’ has one of the largest selections of tame and talking parrots in Michigan.
