Grand Ledge is hosting a Relay for Life event starting May 12 at the Beagle Elementary School to raise money and awareness for cancer.

Relay for Life is worldwide event that occurs in many communities. Within the community, residents make up teams and work together to reach their personal fundraising goal.

On the days of the event at Beagle Elementary School, each team will be responsible for having a member walking on the track at all times to represent that “cancer never sleeps”.

Relay for Life in Grand Ledge has raised over $10,000 and is five teams away from their goal of 42 teams. The next Relay for Life meeting for Grand Ledge residents is Wednesday, March 14 at Beagle Elementary School.
