When my partner and I went to the Land Preservation meeting, we ran into a particular women who seems to be quite upset with us. She said that it was illegal for us to take pictures in an open government meeting, and that we need permission first. She also made it very clear that it was extremely rude.
It seems as if she was bothered herself because she did not want to be seen in the pictures herself, because she was attending the closed session part of the meeting. Consequently, she gave us a hard time for doing our jobs as journalists.
It should be known to all people, if you do not want to see yourself in any pictures and.or video, then you should not be in an open session. It is completely legal for journalists to come in, take pictures, video and voice record.
