It was a beautiful day, and 1,100 Lansing area students got the chance to celebrate Arbor Day at Potter Park zoo this year.
Students learned about environmental safety and conservation through workshops all around the zoo lawn. A free day at the park to learn about some of the animals in the zoo was a perk of the afternoon too. The celebration gave kids the chance to spend a day outside, stretching out their legs and learning about nature and wildlife.
