Seems like this show will be a Spartan Special, featuring the men’s basketball team’s road to the Final Four.
On another note, the story I did on Los Gringos restaurant in Lansing has not had a happy ending. As of last week, the business closed down. My prior knowledge from this story was that the owner was on a payment plan to make up back-taxes. Now, according to the Lansing State Journal, a sign left on the front door of the restaurant reads: “Customers: The state shut me down due to paperwork, & wants payment in full. So, we won’t be reopening. Sorry. Pam & Amber.”
Another sign on the door reads: “WARNING: Property Under Seizure By The State of Michigan Department of Treasury.”
This is disheartening. I hoped everything would work out well for the owner and employees, who seemed to be very genuine people down on their luck. It’s too bad Los Gringos is another victim of the pitiful economy.
