Relay for Life isn’t until April, but the planning has already begun. At a meeting held last Tuesday, organizers explained more about the event and offered early registration for teams.
Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s biggest fundraising event. Teams of 10 – 15 people take turns walking aound a track overnight. The idea behind this event is that “cancer never sleeps.”
Money raised will be used for cancer research and prevention programs. Last year MSU raised more than $350,000. and placed third in the nation for most money raised.
