The practice shoot for our first Focal Point show of 2010 is tonight. Unfortunately, I’ll have to miss the tail end of things due to a class conflict, but I still have plenty of time to get some anchoring practice in.
I’m working on a couple interesting pieces for the 10th. I’ll be editing together a quick summary of Governor Granholm’s final State of the State address and a package covering the Small Planet Battle of the Bands contest this weekend. The show is actually taking place at The Loft in downtown Lansing since Small Planet is currently closed for remodeling (a story on the project may be in the works for our next show).
Oh, and here’s a fun fact: our show airs on my mom’s birthday! So leave her some fond wishes on the blog. I think she’d get a real kick out of it.
