Whether out on a story or hanging out with friends, Kristen has always been fascinated by people and their stories. That curiosity has led her to the journalism masters program at Michigan State, and will continue to guide her as she pursues a career in broadcast news.
Kristen has worked in a producer capacity in sports at WLAJ-TV in Lansing and as an intern at WXYZ- TV in Detroit, where she worked closely with the station’s investigative, health and consumer teams. While she’s covered many memorable stories over the years, Kristen’s favorite involved sprinting (literally) after Tom Izzo at the Final Four. She’ll stop at almost nothing to chase down a story.
Kristen also loves sports and is an avid volleyball player. As an undergrad she was a member of the MSU Women’s Club Volleyball team. In 2006, her team won the national title, and Kristen has been bleeding green ever since.
