Midland lawmaker sets his agenda for fall session

LANSING — State Rep. Tony Stamas, R-Midland, will work on measures to fund road repair, redraw court boundaries and toughen drug laws when the Legislature reconvenes Tuesday.
During the two-week fall session, Stamas said he will tackle the state transportation budget.
Next Stamas said he will introduce a bill to change recently redrawn boundary line for courts in northern Michigan.
Complaints have been made about the new lines.
Lastly, Stamas said he will work on a bill to increase the penalties for anyone who distributes a controlled substance that causes somebody to die.
