Video history of voting aimed at first-time voters, from YouTube
Whether you are a first-timer or a veteran, there are cool tools on the web to help you make the most of your vote.
We present links to them here, with brief descriptions of what these cool tools can do for you.
RealClear Politics’ latest polls–If you love political numbers the way some people keep score at sporting events, you will love this. RealClear Politics scrapes the Web to bring you the latest numbers on who's up, who's down and who's sideways.
Know Before You Go–We love this one. If you're going to vote, you have to know where to go. In Michigan, voters can plunk their information into this form and get a map that shows where they are supposed to vote, as well as what they will see on the ballot when they get there. Super easy.
Candidate Match Game–From USA Today, this board lets you click your top-prioritu issues and then make a bunch of choices about statements that best reflect your position. The game then gives you your ideal candidate. (Still not a dating game!) Disappointment: When we played, it still included all the candidates who had suspended their campaigns. So, if our candidate is already a loser, what dare we?
iSideWith.com–Which candidate best matches your feelings? Don't rely simply on personal impressions, incomplete information or attack ads. Use technology! This is not quite match.com for politics, but it will help you figure out what to do with your vote.
