The Knight Center for Environmental Journalism at Michigan State University’s School of Journalism trains student and professional journalists to cover the environment. This video gives an overview of the center’s programs.
The center, located on MSU’s East Lansing, Mich., campus, was founded in 1994 when the John S. and James L. Knight Foundationcreated the nation’s first endowed chair in environmental journalism.
The program offers numerous classes andprofessional workshops for the study and practice of environmental journalism. Faculty conduct research and attract environmental experts and journalists from around the world as guest lecturers.
