Michigan 4-H creates global competence curriculum

“4-H Backpack to Adventure: Youth Leaders in a Global World” has been released by Michigan 4-H.

It keys on five qualities that youth leaders need to succeed in our global society. The 4-H describes them as:

  • Knowing about and appreciating their individual identity and culture.
  • Knowing about and appreciating the cultures of other peoples.
  • Values multiple points of view.
  • Works and lives comfortably with people from diverse cultures.
  • Understands how a person’s culture influences his or her leadership style and practices.

The global competence curriculum is available in the 4-H bookstore.
