Transportation is a vital part of our everyday lives, and Evergreen Cycles and Repair seems to understand this best.
Putting fast and efficient service at the forefront, the shop strives to have a much faster turn-around time than most bicycle shops. According to Manager Justin Miernik, the shop is proud of its ability to complete most repairs on the spot while customers wait.
Hunter Seyfarth, an East Lansing native, founded the bicycle shop in 2006 where it originally stood as a 500-square-foot building on Evergreen Avenue. In 2011, the shop moved to its current location and continues to offer services by experienced workers.
Seyfarth and Miernik, who have worked professionally on bikes for 16 years and 11 years respectively, work alongside one other employee who attends Michigan State University as a student.
The shop also offers a customer repair stand in the back, which provides residents with the tools and the space to work on their own bikes for no charge.
In addition to repairs, the shop offers a variety of merchandise including bikes, bike parts, tools, apparel and accessories such as helmets, locks and lights.
